The Black-throated Finch

My little finch has been sent to Susan Ley
Federal Environment Minister.

"The Black-throated finch is a small bird that has had its territory systematically removed by land clearing and development. There are approximately 1500 birds left in the wild with the largest population directly on the site of the proposed Adani Carmichael mine. In order to get approval for the mine, Adani had to prove to the QLD Govt that it had a conservation process for managing the bird population. Their recently approved proposal has been strongly condemned by various scientists and conservation groups.
The Black-throated finch is a small but powerful symbol of the values and actions contributing to mass extinction. When I think of the finch I wonder how many more species will vanish under our watch." @cwatson_studio
